Screen Shot 2013-12-20 at 1.35.28 PM

After a successful, but challenging year on the downhill circuit, James Kelly comes home to ride some of his favorite hills. What’s captured here is James completely unbound; a freeride session as good anything we’ve seen in years. A day away from the pressures of racing, a day to remember why he started skating, a day to let loose and just ride fast… Enjoy…

// Ice Cream //

There’s a gringo in town who’s delivering icy hot vibes… Silhouetted by a monolithic mansion with rolling waves of pleasure. High atop El Patron a girl sits lost, lonely, and bewildered. Beyond the horizon a maiden approaches. Their union is imminent, reborn within another. Together, the journey begins…. ahhh… que’ linda.

Globe presents, Ice Cream. An experimental journey into the Mexican unknown.
Filmed and edited by Joe G and Matt Payne, featuring Dion Agius, Staz Lindes, Katelyn Byrd, styled by Imogene Barron

A short surf film that documents some of the beautiful and isloated coastline of western Canada and the force that threatens it. Plans for a pipleline to end at this coast and be picked up by super tankers headed for China are being pushed my the Canadian government despite mass protests. This little film elegantly draws attention to what is at stake in part surf, part environmental journalism.

// What The Sea Gives Me //
Nov 28, 2013

The crew over at Misfit Pictures have finally released a little teaser to their second feature-length documentary, What The Sea Gives Me. The film is about “Looking through the eyes of a few remarkable individuals, WTSGM aims at exploring our incredible relationship with the ocean and our hopes for the future.” You’ll still have to wait until around the New Year until it’s ready for viewing, but here is a taste of things to come.

If you haven’t read it already, check out the article we did with director Pierce Kavanagh from Issue Three here!
